Some academic paths don't follow a straight line; they follow a point of unrelenting curiosity.
My Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences trained me to manage how people function within systems. Primarily, how familial dynamics are formed, how brands and media influence consumption behaviors, how society establishes normative expectations for social engagement, and how culture fuels our collective experience.
That curiosity has since evolved.
Earning my Master of Public Policy, with Magna cum laude honors, has given me the context to understand how laws, government institutions, and policy frameworks codify the norms that shape the collective experience, and why the distance between policymaking and daily life is never as wide as it seems. Society at large is a meticulous orchestration.
As a lifelong researcher and now Sociopolitical Strategist, I am perfectly positioned at the intersection of politics, cultural influence, technology, and human behavior. I’m sure I’ll be sending invitations to my first TED Talk or panel at the CBC’s Annual Legislative Conference very soon.
But in the meantime….
